IT DIRECTOR

This industry leader is seeking a hands-on IT leader to maintain the overall health and growth for information technology engine that powers their online educational and testing environment leveraging outsourced service providers. This IT leader will be Primary interface with the business leadership and outsourced service provider partners on projects, initiatives or programs, providing advice and support to those departments to help shepherd them through process of timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with core technology listed below, especially LAMP and have successfully supported a smaller companies in a similar hands-on role. Reports to CEO. HQ location: South Bay (South LA County).

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for maintaining the stability and scalability of the website, apps and applications key to the business model.
  • Ultimate resolution of incidents affecting the IT infrastructure and central communications hub for Incident Management (break/fix issues).

Other responsibilities:

  • Project Manage outsourced website operations, maintaining maximum usability and website functionality.
  • Convey UX requirements from clients/users community to outsourced coding resource provider.
  • Ability to perform coding as required to assist in Hotfix resolution on emergency basis.
  • Functional testing/user acceptance testing.
  • Release management for e-commerce site, customer portal site, and mobile apps.
  • Issue resolution related to tech platform.
  • Training of staff in tech updates and back-end procedures.
  • Ecommerce website backend setup and admin (CMS, access control, product setup)
  • IT related customer support that cannot be handled routinely by office staff.
  • Data Export, import and conversion.
  • Hardware, Software, and Application management for employees.
  • Management of third party e-commerce Payment Systems.
  • Management of third party Fulfillment Systems.

Operating Environment:

  • Website: LAMP with AWS for fulfillment, ecommerce enabled with high volume on-demand video streaming capabilities.
  • Apps: IOS and Android
  • Project Management: Jira or Pivotal.

Must have qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a hands-on IT leader utilizing similar technology.
  • Demonstrated project leadership capabilities with outsourced/offshore programming resources.
  • Ability to manage code in website based on LAMP (Linus OS, Apache Webserver, MySQL, database, PHP).
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud components and cloud architecture.
  • Ability to manage code for mobile apps that run on both iOS and Android devices.
  • Familiarity with SEO concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with iterative development methodology terms and practice.
  • Understanding of network administration.

Compensation: Dependent upon relevant experience, base salary range $110-150K with good benefits.

CONTROLLER

Growing family owned and operated Kitchen and Bath Manufacturing and Remodeling Company is adding a key member to their senior leadership team, a senior level accounting professional for the Controller position. This newly created position will be responsible for supervising all accounting and financial functions with small team. Excellent opportunity for an accounting leader to leverage their hands on experience as part of the leadership team that is being positioned to support a strong growth plan.

This is supported with a 40,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with three showrooms throughout Southern California with additional satellite showrooms. Reports to CFO. Based at Corporate HQ in Anaheim, CA

Key Responsibilities:

Over all accounting and financial systems (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow controls and general ledger) with an accounting team of 3, specifically to include:
• Monthly book close process.
• Implementing, documenting and maintaining adequate and effective internal controls.
• Guide financial decisions and protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with required regulations and financial standards that comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
• Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports with proper analytic review of the operations from a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow perspective as well as business perspective.
• Preparing of monthly financial statements and related schedules.

Other responsibilities
• Supervising AR and AP.
• Maintaining of fixed asset records
• Coordinating quarterly physical inventory and analysis of inventory adjustments.
• Compare costs incurred to budget and performance analysis of profit centers.

Must have qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience as hands-on leader in accounting/finance with small to mid-market companies ($15-100MM).
• Overseeing monthly book close including preparation of financial statements (Income statement, balance sheet)
• B.S. Degree in accounting

Would like to have qualifications:
• Job Shop experience.
• Proficiency in supporting accounting application software, ideally MAS100 experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Crystal Reports and databases.
• Cost Accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience.
• CPA or CMA

  • Developing an employee-oriented organizational culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, teamwork, high performance and quality.
  • Ensuring organizational compliance with applicable HR related regulations and statutes as well as organizational procedures and policies.
  • Implementing HR programs and policies as needed by the organization.

Business Systems Analyst – Position Filled

To support this growth, they are positioned to add a significant component to the ITteam with aBusiness Systems Analyst.   This Business Systems Analyst will support the implementation, deployment and effective use of Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) business software, coordinating with the selected software vendor, management, and end users. This wine company has continuous improvement ingrained in its DNA, so the Business Systems Analyst will need creative problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills to work across the organization to continually improve implementation and adoption of the ERP system. This is the primary support function for leveraging the ERP system to drive towards increased efficiency through process optimization and enhanced collaboration.

Reports to the IT Project Director. Based in Greenfield, CA (Monterey County)

Selected key responsibilities:

  • Supports ERP system implementation to ensure proper function and system integrity, fulfill send user requests, maintaining security, upgrades and oversees relationships with ERP suppliers.
  • Troubleshoots ERP system problems and issues encountered by users related to populating data fields and data reporting, responds to help tickets related to ERP, coordinating with software vendor as needed.
  • Works closely with functional business areas to support and improve utilization of the ERP solution.
  • Evaluates and prepares recommendations for change in established organization methods and procedures. Participates in Change Request process to approve, document, test and certify all changes to the ERP system.
  • Creates and maintains document change requests and prepares business cases.
  • Defines, creates and coordinates test plans, test scripts, and test procedures based on requirements.

Must have qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in related Business Systems Analyst role within a manufacturing environment supporting ERP packaged software.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP platform or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience working with database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Knowledge with formal testing and quality assurance (QA) processes.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully interacting directly with users.
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, MIS/Information Technology, Business, Finance or related or an equivalent combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with the ‘must have’ qualifications.

Would Like to Have Experience:

  • Experience supporting warehouse management, packaged goods manufacturing, wine production, e-commerce, and MRP software in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and/or Waterfall.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing implementation.
  • Experience with Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Platforms
  • Experience with CRM Platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint

Senior Network Engineer

Must Have Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience with the installation, support, troubleshooting, and upgrading of network equipment, specifically Cisco ASA 55XX series adaptive security appliances and current IOS configuration.
  • Solid knowledge of administrative, system, and security features of Cisco operating environment and associated network devices.
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches to implement customer approved network configuration and security policies.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on network performance and bandwidth monitoring.
  • Strong working knowledge in areas of IP addressing, subnet masking, VPN, network design and architecture.
  • Experience with TCP/IP and broadcast/multicasting desired.
